Research in this laboratory involves molecular signal transduction, dissection of the molecular responses to genotoxic and oncogenic stress, rabiobiology, molecular toxicology, elucidation of molecular targets for cancer therapeutics, and molecular oncology. An ongoing focus is on growth control mechanisms mediated by tumor suppressors. These projects involve a variety of novel mouse models including gene disruption (knockout) and site-directed mutation (knockin) strategies. Considering the complexity of genotoxic stress responses, another major focus is the development of functional genomics and metabolomics approaches to monitor for stress responses at the genome-wide level.
