Dr. Hakima Amri invited to first International Working Group on PhyloOncology

Dr. Hakima Amri invited to participate in the first international working group on PhyloOncology, June 5-7, 2015, sponsored by the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent) at Duke University, NC and the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Amri was invited to present her patented work on Phylomics®: Translating Omics from the Bench to the Clinic and toward Precision Medicine. She will participate in a two and half day discussion with like-minded scientists on the application of parsimony phylogenetics and evolutionary synthesis to omics and big data.  PhyloOncology is the focus of this international working group and most of the pertinent issues currently hindering the field, such as heterogeneity, early detection, accurate diagnosis, response to treatment assessment, personalized and precision treatment will be discussed in light of what PHYLOMICS® is designed to offer as answers to these issues.
